Class Timetable

The Class Time Table function in EduSYMS allows educators and administrators to visualise and manage the weekly schedule for each class. This feature provides a clear structure for the week, outlining each subject's time slot, thus ensuring a balanced distribution of academic and extracurricular activities.

Viewing the Class Timetable

  1. Access the Timetable: Navigate to the 'Manage Class' menu and select 'Class Timetable' to view the current weekly schedule.
  2. Visual Representation: The timetable displays the days of the week across the top and time slots down the side, with each subject and its allocated time slot within the grid.
  3. Teacher and Subject Information: Each time slot shows the subject being taught and the name of the teacher responsible. Hover over a slot to view additional details if available.
  4. Adjust Time Slots: Users with the appropriate permissions can edit the timetable by adjusting the time slots as needed to accommodate changes in the class schedule.

Editing the Timetable

  1. Edit Mode: Click the 'Edit' button to make changes to the timetable. You can then drag and drop subjects to different time slots or adjust the timing of each period.
  2. Configure Timetable: Select the 'Configure' button to set the start time, duration, and the number of periods per day, including breaks and lunch times.
  3. Compliance Overview: This feature checks if the timetable meets the required number of periods for each subject and flags any discrepancies for resolution.
  4. Auto-Generate: For a new setup or complete overhaul, use the 'Auto-Generate' feature to create a balanced timetable based on the subjects, periods required, and available staff.
  5. Timetable Compliance: Ensure that the timetable meets the school's curriculum requirements by verifying that all subjects have been allocated the necessary periods and teachers.
  6. Teacher Distribution: Review and manage the allocation of staff to various periods and subjects to ensure equitable distribution of workload.

Special Features

  1. Photo Identification: The timetable interface can display photos of teachers next to their names for easy identification.
  2. Subject Teachers List: Access a detailed list of which teachers are assigned to each subject within the class.
  3. Staff/Period Distribution: Review a snapshot of the distribution of teaching periods amongst the staff, providing insights into workload and scheduling efficiency.
  4. Print and Export Options: Users can print the timetable or export it to various formats for distribution or further analysis.
  5. Customizable Time Blocks: Adjust the timetable to accommodate special events, exams, or non-instructional days as needed.
