Step-by-Step Guide for Manually Clocking In Staff Using eduSYMS

Follow these steps to clock in staff members using the eduSYMS platform:


1. Access the Administration Menu

  • At the top of the dashboard, click on "Administration" from the main navigation menu (as shown in Step 1 of the image).
  • A dropdown menu will appear with various options.

2. Navigate to Attendance & Clock-In/Out

  • From the dropdown menu, hover over "Attendance & Clock-In/Out" (Step 2 in the image).
  • Another menu will open up with additional options.

3. Select Clock-In Staff

  • In the sub-menu, click on "Clock-In Staff" (Step 3 in the image).
  • This will take you to the clock-in interface where you can input staff details for attendance.

4. Clock-In Staff Interface

  • Once you're on the clock-in page, ensure the correct date and time are selected. These should default to the current date and time.
  • Select the campus from the dropdown list if applicable (shown as Demo Campus in the image).
  • If required, you can also enter the temperature of the staff member (e.g., 36.00°C) and any remarks.

5. Enter Staff Details

  • In the Staff field, either input the staff code or type in the staff username.
  • Once you input the correct information, press TAB to populate the clock-in entry.

6. Clock-In Confirmation

  • After you’ve successfully clocked in the staff, you will see an entry generated below showing the staff name, campus, date, time, temperature, and any additional remarks.

By following these steps, you can replace manual attendance registers with the eduSYMS system, making it easier to track staff attendance and generate reports. If needed, this feature can also be integrated with biometric readers for automatic population of the staff details.
