This system can be integrated with various hardware technologies, such as biometrics and NFC (Near Field Communication), to create a secure checkpoint at the classroom entrance.

Check-In Process

  • Automated Attendance: As students enter the classroom, they can check in by scanning their ID barcode, swiping a card, or using a biometric scanner.
  • Temperature Recording: The system allows for the input of a student's temperature, adding an additional layer of health monitoring.
  • Immediate Sync: Check-in data is instantly recorded and synchronised with the eduSYMS database, providing real-time attendance updates.

Check-Out Process

  • Confirming Departure: Students check out using the same method they checked in with, ensuring their safe departure is logged.
  • Health and Safety: The temperature can be recorded again to monitor any changes throughout the day, contributing to health and safety records.
  • Remarks Section: Any relevant observations or remarks can be noted, providing a comprehensive record for each student's attendance.

Integration with Access Control Hardware

User Roles and Permissions

  • Via Manage Class: Select the 'Check-In' or 'Check-Out' option from the 'Manage Class' menu to access the respective feature.
  • Real-Time List View: Use the 'Show clock-in list' checkbox to view a real-time list of all students who have checked in or out.
