Class List Communication Features

Direct Contact Actions

Within the 'Class List' view, eduSYMS provides practical tools for educators and administrators to directly communicate with students or their parents. The system simplifies these contact methods through integrated communication options:

How to Use Contact Actions

  • Selecting Students: To initiate communication, select the checkbox next to the student's name. This enables the 'Action selected' dropdown menu.
  • Action Dropdown Menu: Click the dropdown menu to reveal communication options:
    • Send an SMS: Select this option to compose and send a text message directly to the student's or parent's mobile number.
    • Send an Email: Choose this option to send an email to the student's email address.

Steps for Sending Messages

  • Choose Students: Tick the boxes beside the names of the students you wish to contact.
  • Select Communication Type: Use the 'Action selected' dropdown to pick the type of message you wish to send—SMS or email.
  • Compose and Send: After selecting the action, a dialogue box will prompt you to compose your message. Once done, click 'Send' to deliver your message.

Best Practices for Effective Communication

  • Verify Contact Information: Ensure that the student's contact information is accurate and updated regularly to avoid miscommunication.
  • Consent and Privacy: Always have consent from parents or guardians for direct communication with students, especially if they are minors, and adhere to privacy regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Keep track of communications sent for reference and follow-up. eduSYMS may have features that log these communications automatically.

The communication features within the 'Class List' view of eduSYMS BackOffice are designed to facilitate essential interactions between the school and the student's families, contributing to a cohesive educational community
